We will meet via Zoom twice during the month of October. We will review the first half of the graphic novel on the 13th and the second half on the 27th. Participants can pick up their graphic novel to check out on the 2nd floor of the library, or via the library’s curbside pick-up service. Our graphic novel for October is Maus I: A Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman. RSVP for this event at https://lclsonline.org/calendar/ and receive the Zoom link via email!

Make sure you RSVP separately for the second session on October 27th.

Graphic Novel Description:

A brutally moving work of art—widely hailed as the greatest graphic novel ever written—Maus recounts the chilling experiences of the author’s father during the Holocaust, with Jews drawn as wide-eyed mice and Nazis as menacing cats.

Maus is a haunting tale within a tale, weaving the author’s account of his tortured relationship with his aging father into an astonishing retelling of one of history's most unspeakable tragedies. It is an unforgettable story of survival and a disarming look at the legacy of trauma.
