State of City Event Jan 28
City of Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr will give her annual State of the City Address on Tuesday, January 28 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cheyenne Civic Center, Doors will open to the public at 2:00 p.m. Dave Lerner of The Cheyenne Post will serve as the event moderator in a sit-down conversation with Mayor Orr to reflect on 2019 and look ahead into 2020. Lerner said “2019 was an eventful year for the city of Cheyenne. I am honored to serve as moderator and look forward to the discussion with the Mayor.” This will mark the third State of the City address for Mayor Orr. The event is free and open to the public.
CASA seeking Volunteers
CASA is seeking volunteers, ordinary citizens doing extraordinary work for children. A CASA volunteer advocates makes a difference in the life of a child who has been a victim of abuse or neglect. If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, attend a meeting either Tuesday, January 14at noon (lunch will be provided) or Thursday, January 16at 5:30p.m., at the CASA office, 1616 E. 19th Suite 4. Game and Fish Open House
The community is invited to an open house with the Game and Fish Commission and Department staff. The open house is Tuesday, January 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is hosted by Pine Bluffs High Plains Chapter of Pheasants Forever and will be at the Wyoming Game and Fish Headquarters, at 5400 Bishop Blvd in Cheyenne. Youth guests are encouraged to attend for a chance to win donated lifetime licenses for game bird/small game/fishing and conservation stamps. Refreshments will be provided.
