Visit Cheyenne, the Downtown Development Authority and the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce have pulled out all the stops in presenting an activity-filled holiday season in Cheyenne, filled with excitement and holiday cheer, and centered around the theme of “Old West Holiday,” a parade theme of “Deck the Halls, Y’all” and a citywide and downtown focus of Small Business Saturday, inviting everyone to enjoy the Western charm the holiday season and our city offer.
Visit Cheyenne introduced the holiday theme rather fancifully: “Santa Claus may be known for his home up north... but Cheyenne holds a little secret: The North WEST Pole is his old ranching homestead. A long-time fan of wide open spaces—perfect for social distancing—Santa has been visiting the Magic City during Dec..ember since the days of the Wild West - and that spirit continues today during Cheyenne's very own Old West Holiday!”
Downtown Cheyenne transforms into a Western Winter Wonderland with Santa's favorite stops open to the public. Who knows... you may run into the Old St. Nick himself! Visit the Pony Express stop to drop off your wish-lists, Santa's Saloon and Stables, and Mrs. Claus' Cookie Shop... even drop in on Santa at the Kringle Ranch and tell him exactly what you'd like for Christmas!

Sat., Nov. 28 is packed with holiday cheer downtown. The entire day is Small Business Saturday, which this year, despite the ongoing strictures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, is getting major promotion because of the unusually strong need to boost both community spirit and local businesses. The DDA has coordinated what is likely the largest Small Business promotion downtown, ever. It is not to be missed!
That same evening is the much-anticipated Cheyenne Christmas Parade and the always heartwarming tree lighting.
