This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrated in Cheyenne and across Wyoming, as proclaimed last week by Governor Mark Gordon. School and learning has been disrupted and changed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and closed schools, but teachers, students and stakeholders have found creative ways to facilitate learning. Above, Henderson Elementary School staff members show support for their students during difficult times.
Governor Mark Gordon displays the #Flex4Teachers graphic after signing the proclamation recognizing Teacher Appreciation Week, and flexed to honor the flexibility shown by our Wyoming teachers this school year. Governor Gordion said, “Teachers have all demonstrated tremendous dedication to educating our youth in a different way during this challenging time. I want to thank all teachers for continuing to make a difference in the lives of their students.”
